POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the VP Sales and Marketing, will identify and capture new business in North America and other assigned markets, including new programs, and follow on and spin off from existing programs. Participate in bid/no-bid decisions and promote new ideas for unsolicited proposals. Manage commercial status of existing programs. Develop and execute marketing plans and programs, both short and long range to ensure the profit growth and expansion of company products and/or services. Significant direct customer interface. May have supervisory responsibility for marketing/administrative staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Formulates and executes sales programs to ensure maximum exploitation of ARC resources in capturing new programs and follow-on programs.
  2. Leads preparation of commercial offers for assigned markets with strong focus on accuracy, completeness, and thoroughness and including the analysis of cost, margin, proposed sales price.
  3. Leads preparation of sales literature for assigned markets.
  4. Maintains customer contact, including regular customer visits, for direct selling, and participates in general capabilities presentations, pre-selling of new ideas, etc.
  5. Prepares market surveys in conjunction with the Market Analysis activity. Continuously monitors market formulation to ensure the timely adjustment of marketing, strategy and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  6. Develops and maintains an intimate knowledge of ARC resources and capabilities relative to the assigned market area.
  7. Continuous maintenance of customer commercial status, including business forecast, to support spot analyses of specific issues, budget estimates and annual and five-year plans in assigned market areas.
  8. Prepares and supports trade shows as assigned.
  9. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
WORK ENVIRONMENT / CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Duties will be performed in a standard office environment. Employee may be required to be on-call, work weekends and holidays. Overnight travel within US is expected and will occasionally include overseas locations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BS Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering or related field.
Eight (8) years related experience including marketing, program management or engineering in automotive safety restraints industry with OEM or supplier.
Strong English verbal and written communication/interpersonal skills. Additional language skills such as Chinese, Korean, Japanese, or German is desirable but not required.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
