Tax Year End Project Manager - Remote

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce is seeking a Tax Year End Project Manager to join their team in a remote setting. This person will be responsible for the planning, coordinating, monitoring and implementing very complex technical and/or non-technical programs to meet organizational goals.

Duties:
* Tax Year End Project Manager oversees and provides guidance to the personnel responsible for the organization's portfolio of projects
* Maintains the efficiency of important aspects of the project management process such as planning, scheduling, and budget and risk assessment
* Oversees day-to-day operations of the Project Management Office (PMO)
* Builds and provides direction and day-to-day operations to the PMO. The PMO scope may include technical and/or non-technical programs for a client segment or division
* Defines and develops project/program management best practices, processes, and policy to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and goals
* Partners with multi-departmental leadership and other stakeholders to locate opportunities and develop and prioritize projects according to relevant measurement criteria
* Maintains the efficiency of important aspects of the project management process such as planning, scheduling, and budget and risk assessment; Provides executive management with forecasts of available resources and program status
* Supervises the project and program managers to ensure that all projects within the scope of the PMO are delivered within the defined scope, quality, time, and cost requirements
* Manages project and/or program managers and project management administrative employees within the scope of the PMO
* Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals
* Provides guidance to team members within latitude of established company policies
* Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect group

REQUIREMENTS:
* A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience; Advanced degree is preferred
* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or active pursuit of certification preferred; Certifications are not mandatory - if this person has the skill level and does not have the certifications, the manager is willing to overlook that piece as certifications are a guide to the type of knowledge the manager is looking for
* Someone who has managed year end projects in both Canada and understands the necessary steps you go through to create both Canada year end form and has managed these projects in the past; Essentially wants an SME in that regard with project management experience
* Someone who can drive the project from start to end
* Interview Process: Two rounds

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
