Job Description: The Project Superintendent assumes comprehensive control and coordination of a project at the field level, with a primary focus on managing the labor force, ensuring quality control, and maintaining safety standards to achieve the timely completion of construction projects within budget constraints. This role necessitates close collaboration with the Project Manager to facilitate coordination with the general contractor and subcontractors, manage the flow of materials to the job site, and ensure adherence to the construction schedule. The Project Superintendent is directly responsible for supervising field employees involved in the project. Essential Duties and Responsibilities / Tasks: Adhere to procedures and practices outlined in the FORTUNE Safety Manual. Reviews contract documents to determine labor requirements and maintain the necessary labor force. Monitors materials supplied and installations for the project to ensure compliance with code, plans and specifications regarding quantity and quality. Cultivate a quality-oriented labor force by enforcing stringent quality control measures and providing effective leadership. Foster close working relationship with representatives of the general contractor, engineers and other trades. Provides safe work environment and ensures that field employees are well-versed in and compliant with, safety policies and programs including but not limited to Safety Rules, Haz-Com, Lockout/Tagout, Fall Protection, etc. Collaborate with FORTUNE's Safety Consultant to minimize job-related accidents/illness and facilitate the return of injured employees to work. Monitors labor costs in conjunction with the Project Manager to ensure construction completion within the designated budget. Provide advance notice to the Project Manager of material requirements. Coordinate the procurement of small tools through the Project Manager. Conduct comprehensive training sessions for all employees to enhance their skills and maintain a safe work environment. Maintains project records, including (but not limited to) shop drawings, receiving reports, accident reports, safety reports, daily log, time sheets, etc. Ensure that installation comply with all federal, national and local codes and standards.
