Lead Data Engineer

We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer specializing in financial data systems and modernization with expertise in SQL, ETL processes, data warehousing, and big data platforms. The ideal candidate should hold relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Data Analytics or Google Professional Data Engineer. This is a W2 position.

Project Leadership:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of data modernization projects.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with business goals.

Data Architecture and Management:

• Develop and maintain scalable data architectures.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all systems.

Technical Oversight:

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team.
• Oversee the integration of new technologies and tools to enhance data processing capabilities.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and finance.
• Continuously evaluate and improve data processes and systems.

Skill Set Required:

Technical Expertise:

• Proficiency in data engineering technologies such as SQL, ETL processes, data warehousing, and big data platforms.
• Strong understanding of financial data systems and leveraged finance.

Analytical Skills:

• Ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
• Proficiency in data modeling and database design.

Leadership and Management:

• Experience in leading technical teams and managing projects.

Certifications:

• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Professional Data Engineer, or similar are highly desirable.

Experience:

• Typically, 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on financial data systems and modernization
