Role Responsibility:

Work with Data Experts to help establish and maintain a cross-platform and model of data points, terminology, relations, and use of data within their Data Domain. They are an important conduit between the conceptual potential of our data and the actual use of our data.

Establish and maintain reference data models of their Data Domain

Collaborate with Data Stewards across the enterprise to improve the conceptual data model and promote the use of reference models in general

Prioritize changes to the model and supportive content (e.g., glossary, system of record metadata)

Host working sessions/coordinate working groups for short-term improvements

Process and prepare for publication the results of working sessions for user use

Present to Client leadership the benefits and progress toward a fuller understanding of our data landscape, and opportunities

Collaborate with other Data Domain Stewards on common pain points and successes for overall improvement to the artifacts and processes

Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of data modeling experience in a major enterprise, including conceptual and logical data models [varies by level]
• 7+ years in a collaborative role with all partners [varies by level]
• Experience with the tenets of data governance and data management, specifically data stewardship
• Solid experience and using of Data Governance and Metadata Management tools such as Collibra.
• Communications across media and audiences
• Successful leadership roles in change management and negotiation
