SUMMARY OF PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


The Senior Buyer / Team Lead plays a critical role in implementing HCG's end-to-end supply chain and procurement strategy. Collaborative leadership and supply chain expertise will be essential to delivering results as we grow our business.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Supply Chain to implement supply chain strategy, including leading and responding to the procurement team on day-to-day activities
  • Develop, monitor, and report on KPIs related to key aspects of the SC
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Evaluate supplier performance and implement supplier scorecards, reporting out to leadership team on a quarterly cadence
  • Help define, design and plan SC continuous improvement projects with Supply Chain Director, lead implementation/execution
  • Support implementation of cost reduction strategies and new vendor integrations
  • Develop and implement long term strategic agreements with key vendors
  • Monitor contractual agreements for all EDC vendors
  • Implement and monitor SC process improvement initiatives
  • Track and report out on SC risks, working closely with the Supply Chain Director and Strategic Sourcing Manager on permanent solutions
  • Utilize data analytics, reporting tools, and fact-based insights to make informed decisions and drive improvements across the supply chain
  • Implement and lead purchasing team review process
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented culture

EXPERIENCE/SKILL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • The ideal candidate for this role will have the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 6 years' of supply chain and/or procurement experience
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in leading teams and executing projects
  • Thorough understanding of supply chain processes, procurement, logistics, and inventory management
  • Proficiency in using supply chain management software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools, PowerBI experience preferred
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in project management/execution using creative problem-solving abilities
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, advanced Outlook, Powerpoint skills preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills required (min. requirements include familiarity with VLOOKUP, INDEX, Pivot Tables, external data feeds, Power Query, conditional formatting, etc.)
  • Experience working with analytics, data and spreadsheets to create and present data-driven solutions and recommendations
  • Experience with articulating data analysis summaries verbally and via presentations to various audiences including senior leadership

This position can be located at HCG's St. Louis, MO or Simi Valley, CA location
