Sr. Director of Engineering

Role:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a global software engineering team of 400, with a focus on enhancing technical capabilities, improving efficiency, and fostering a high-performance culture.
• Drive the development and modernization of applications in Java, C#, and Python across cloud-native and hybrid environments.
• Lead the strategic direction of cloud-native applications, leveraging containerization, microservices architecture, and hybrid cloud technologies.
• Lead efforts to improve automation in the development pipeline, including CI/CD, automated testing, and performance monitoring, ensuring consistent and reliable software deployments.
• Advocate for and implement best practices in software engineering, including Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and modern engineering tooling.
• Foster global collaboration across geographically dispersed teams, ensuring smooth communication, alignment, and delivery of strategic projects.
• Oversee operational processes, driving continuous improvements in system monitoring, troubleshooting, deployment, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, infrastructure, and executive leadership to align the technology vision with business goals.
• Present to C-Suite in global capacity.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong background in Java, C#, or Python development.
• Proven track record of leading and scaling large, globally distributed teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Deep expertise in Cloud Native and Private Cloud in a Hybrid Application Development environment with experience in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Expertise in software architecture, cloud migration, and infrastructure as code.
• Expert knowledge on how to revamp processes, drive efficiencies, and simplify how code gets pushed to production.
• Experience with automation, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines to drive engineering efficiency.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor large teams while driving a culture of innovation and accountability.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, microservices architecture, and modern software engineering frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale digital transformations and modernization initiatives.
