Skills: Technical Writing, Active Directory, Azure AD, Windows Server & Desktop.
Domain Migration, Manufacturing, and Computer Inventory Management (PDQ) experience a plus!
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and maintaining Windows-based infrastructure, including Active Directory (AD), Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), Windows Server, and Windows Desktop environments. You will play a key role in system administration, technical support, documentation, and driving process improvements across the enterprise. Your ability to document processes and create technical guides for end-users and internal teams will also be crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, configure, and maintain Active Directory services, including user management, group policies, security, and authentication.
- Administer and support Azure Active Directory
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server
- Provide support and maintenance for Windows Desktop systems, troubleshooting issues, ensuring software compatibility, and managing updates.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation.
- Monitor system performance and security, troubleshoot problems, and ensure optimal configuration and functionality of the environment.
- Implement and maintain security policies, including patch management, user access control, and security best practices for cloud environments.
- Develop scripts (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) to automate common tasks and improve system administration efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in systems engineering, administration, or IT support roles.
- Technical Skills:
- Active Directory administration and group policy management.
- Experience with Azure Active Directory and cloud identity solutions.
- Strong proficiency with Windows Server (2016/2019) and Windows Desktop environments.
- Expertise in technical writing for documenting systems, creating guides, and maintaining internal and external knowledge bases.
- Familiarity with system monitoring and management tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune).
- Experience with PowerShell for task automation.
- Understanding of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN.
