QA + Data Engineer (Remote)

Primary Location: Remote

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a QA + Data Engineer (Remote) for our premier client.

Education and Experience

  • 6+ years of QA experience.
  • Experience working with CI tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab etc.).
  • Experience with QA processes and deliverables in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Proficient in defect tracking and analyzing root cause utilizing tools (Jira, Rally etc.).
  • Strong understanding of automation and performance concepts and approaches.
  • Experience working with or on remote teams.
  • Understand and utilize risk-based testing techniques.
  • Experience in test environment and test data management.

Specialization/Role Requirements for Automation

  • 3+ years of hands-on testing experience in Data Bricks, spark, PySpark using Python language.
  • 3+ years of hands-on testing experience on Data and ETL workflows using tools like (Informatica IDQ, DVO etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and testing mappings (with transformations like Joiners, Sorters, Filters , Routers etc.).
  • Good understanding of Databases (relational and non-relational).
  • Experience in ETL and Data frameworks, processes, strategies, and approaches.
  • 2+ years of experience in advanced SQL.
  • SQL (must-have), Databricks, Python, and PySpark.
  • Experience creating/implementing test plans.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Effectively work in a fast-paced environment utilizing Agile methodology.
  • Develop and maintain functional automation test scripts utilizing modular frameworks and best practices.
  • Execute test scripts to validate the correct functionality of application.
  • Use SQL for back-end database validation.
  • Multi-task to meet assignment deadlines.
  • Accurately estimate work assignments.
  • Show assertiveness.
  • Identify obstacles and roadblocks; and offer suggestions to work around obstacles.
  • Help drive and improve QA process within the team you are assigned.
