Position Overview:

As a Senior Integrations Engineer at CYPHER, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust integration solutions that enable seamless communication between CYPHER s platform and external systems such as HRIS, ERP, CRM, and other third-party platforms. You will play a key role in the technical delivery of complex integration projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable and efficient integrations for our clients.

This role is suited for an experienced engineer who thrives in solving complex technical challenges and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will lead the technical design and implementation of APIs, web services, and other integration solutions, and mentor junior team members on best practices.

What You ll Do:

  • Design, develop, and implement integration solutions between CYPHER s platform and third-party systems, including HRIS (e.g., Workday, ADP, BambooHR), ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), CRM, and other external platforms.
  • Engage with clients to understand their use cases, gather and document integration requirements, and ensure the technical solutions meet their business needs.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, web services, and data pipelines to support seamless data flow and communication between systems.
  • Lead the technical architecture of integrations, ensuring that solutions are scalable, reliable, and meet client requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to gather requirements, design integration strategies, and ensure the technical feasibility of integrations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues as they arise, providing technical support to clients and internal teams during the implementation process.
  • Ensure data integrity and security in all integration processes, adhering to best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices, coding standards, and integration architecture.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in systems integration, and continuously improve internal processes and methodologies.
  • Document technical designs, processes, and solutions for both internal teams and external clients.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in integrations engineering or a similar role, with a strong background in API development, web services, and data integration.
  • Extensive experience with integration platforms and technologies, such as Mulesoft, Zapier, Workato, or custom-built integrations.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, or similar for API development and scripting.
  • Strong understanding of HRIS, ERP, and CRM systems and how they integrate with SaaS platforms.
  • Experience with cloud-based architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and familiarity with microservices and RESTful APIs.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to integrations, data pipelines, and APIs.
  • Knowledge of data formats like JSON, XML, and database management systems such as SQL and NoSQL.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, SSO, and other authentication/authorization protocols.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience in mentoring junior engineers and leading technical initiatives.
  • Knowledge of message queuing technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus.
  • Certification in relevant integration platforms (e.g., Mulesoft, Workato) is an advantage.
