Front-End Software Developer

This is a US based, fully remote position. Preferred living locations include: Maumee, OH - Dallas, TX - Phoenix, AZ

Job Summary:

The Front-End Software Developer will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, testing, and debugging of web applications and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in frontend technologies and a passion for creating seamless, user-friendly web applications. As a Front-End Developer, you will collaborate with designers, back-end developers, and product managers to provide top quality web applications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participates in the responsibilities of the development lifecycle:
• Analyze business requirements
• Ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX concepts
• Provide development estimates based on defined scope
• Write technical specifications and documentation
• Implement solutions by coding features, enhancements, bug fixes
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
• Develop, debug, write unit test, QA, and support
• Work closely with other developers and technical team members
• Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using appropriate technologies
• Collaborate on UX/UI design to implement responsive and visually appealing user interfaces
• Optimize web application for maximum speed and scalability
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and resolve front-end issues
• Work closely with back-end developers to integrate APIs and other services
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in front-end development
• Support web related technologies in Azure Cloud Services
• Participate in daily standups, scrum meetings, and project planning
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications/Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Compute Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years front-end development experience
• Experience collaborating with a team of software developers
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience with front-end frameworks and libraries such as Angular, React, or Vue.js
• Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git
• JIRA or equivalent project management tools
• Experience with CSS preprocessors like SASS or LESS
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling
• Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
