Our cancer experts include medical oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, physician specialists, nurses and clinical support staff. A vital member of the team includes our clinical nurse navigators who work closely with patients, guiding them through their first visit and serving as a single point of contact throughout their care. From prevention to treatment and beyond, no matter where our patients are on their cancer journey, the team at Banner MD Anderson will be by their side.
This position will support the cancer center by building and creating reports in PowerBI and various Microsoft programs. Utilizing statistical techniques, implementing and maintaining reports, gathering data from primary and secondary source, and analyzing and interpreting trends within the data.
Reporting will primarily be centered around bimonthly physician productivity, center KPI's & project utilization/metrics
Power BI Certification Strongly preferred.
Systems Power BI SQL, java script, project management and Data mining experience also preferred
Location: Remote Hybrid Role - in office 2 days per week. Banner MDA - 2946 E Banner Gateway Dr Gilbert, AZ 85234

We currently have more than 1,000 physicians and more than 3,500 total employees in our group and are seeking others to enhance our ability to deliver our nonprofit mission of providing excellent patient care.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides analysis and builds complex reports or other presentation materials. The incumbent may also be expected to troubleshoot data issues at a moderately complex level and appropriately escalate issues to other resources, as needed. This may include tasks such as creating data definitions, validating data, retrieving data from multiple systems, merging data from multiple sources, functional documentation, participating in creating or reviewing technical documentation and training materials.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Analyzes and reports on customer needs. Manages and supports the identification and research of new developments and uses of current systems and applications, as well as upgraded systems and applications such as Teradata, SAS and Tableau.
2. Serves as a liaison for data users or customers. This may include education, negotiation and problem solving tasks to deliver desirable outcome.
3. Maintains optimal operation of departmental reports in partnership with information technology or external software vendor, as appropriate. This may include implementation, maintenance, testing and/or functional design.
4. Represents assigned area on project teams with regional or company scope on system implementations, policy and practice changes and process redesign. May prepare and distribute worksheets, reports and PowerPoint presentations.
5. Keeps current on industry, standards, and regulatory/compliance issues within assigned areas. Provides education and consultation on these issues to customers.
6. Creates presentations and/or reports for management involving significant analysis of multiple or complex data sources.
7. This position has system-wide accountability within department or functional area, participates on system project teams and provides input on policy changes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess strong knowledge as normally obtained through the completion of Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Epidemiology, Computer Sciences, Process Engineering, Business or related field.
Requires experience typically obtained by 3-4 years working with systems, working as a functional "super-user" of an application in a similar department environment, or providing consultative input for data usage or design is required. Requires ability to work independently, manage large, multiple projects, complex reports, and organize priorities. Excellent communication, interpersonal and critical thinking skills are required. Excellent working knowledge of typical word processing, spreadsheet and/or database applications is required. Requires the ability to write queries using SQL.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with system implementation and project management.
Additional experience with specialized applications in related area also preferred.
Experience with SAS or SSRS, Experience with department specific software (Cerner, NextGen, Centricity, Peribirth, TSI, and Quality Advisor), including advanced integrated or independent report writing applications.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
