We are seeking a skilled Environment Setup Engineer to help establish a lower environment for the Connect platform, test server setups, and consolidate existing servers into the ABO environment. The role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in system setup, server migrations, and infrastructure consolidation, particularly in environments involving Connect, COW, and AYX servers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Environment Setup & Configuration:
    • Design, configure, and establish a lower environment for the Connect platform to ensure seamless testing and deployment.
    • Perform test server setups to validate configurations and ensure compatibility with production environments.
  • Server Consolidation:
    • Consolidate COW (Common Object Warehouse) and AYX (Alteryx) servers into the ABO (Asset Based Ordering) infrastructure to optimize resources and streamline operations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth migration with minimal downtime.
  • System Monitoring & Maintenance:
    • Ensure the environments and servers are properly maintained and monitored for performance, scalability, and security.
    • Provide troubleshooting and support for infrastructure issues in lower environments.
  • Collaboration & Documentation:
    • Work closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure the environment is optimized for testing and deployment.
    • Document setup procedures, configurations, and best practices for future reference.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in environment setup, server configuration, and infrastructure management.
  • Strong experience with server consolidation and platform migrations.
  • Hands-on experience with COW, AYX, and ABO systems.
  • Familiarity with Connect platform environments.
  • Proficiency in server monitoring tools and methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with hybrid infrastructure (cloud/on-prem).
  • Knowledge of automation tools for server provisioning and configuration.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
