Introduction

Metro is seeking a strong leader to steer and supervise Metro's on-bus technology team to ensure seamless integration of technological systems and software, continuous improvement of processes, and advance Metro's capacity and capability to meet the changing needs of service delivery. This position reports to the Chief Administrative Officer.

Position Summary

It is our goal to hire at the objective level. This position is trainee-eligible. We would be open to considering applicants who meet trainee-level qualifications. Employees in this classification participate in a training and career progression program, as well as receiving on-the-job training. An individualized training program is developed for the Trainee to guide advancement to the objective level. Initial placement in the Trainee program is determined based on training and experience at the time of hire. A Trainee is expected to complete the full training program in two (2) years. Upon successful completion, the position will be reclassified as a Transit Information Systems Coordinator.

Salary Information

$88,571.08 - $106,932.02 Annually

Job Details

  • Lead and Supervise Staff

  • Monitor, assign, and redistribute tasks
  • Develop policies and procedures for the Information Systems unit

  • Develop regular reports to document status and progress
  • Foster positive staff morale and engagement
  • Develop process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality

Qualifications

  • Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in the transportation or information technology field with a focus on staff and technology project management, at least two (2) years of which must be as a team lead which involved staff oversight, leadership, or supervision OR
  • An Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field may be substituted for two (2) years of experience which must include being a technology team lead which involved staff oversight, leadership, or supervision
