The Environmental Social Governance ( ESG) Program Management Office (PMO) Assoc. Manager will lead key areas for Regulatory Reporting efforts within the ESG Reporting Council and will report to the Director of ESG PMO. They will work with the Sustainability, Legal, and Public Policy and Government Affairs ( PPGA) ESG functional teams to track and report progress against a large, integrated project plan covering all activities that deliver regulatory reporting requirements in the ESG space.

The project teams in this area are made up of a variety of distinct functions, so an effective candidate must excel at motivating team members with no reporting relationship. This role is responsible for supporting their project teams in ensuring that all aspects of their work are integrated into one work plan, calling out and managing risks and dependencies and ensuring timely delivery of team objectives and plans to enable 2026 reporting readiness. This entails working at the intersection of multiple functional teams (ex: sustainability, control, legal and Strategy & Transformation (S&T) Data & Analytics, etc.) Further, this position ensures that the team status is accurately represented in program team updates to enable program leadership and project teams to effectively understand delays to workplans, impacts on final delivery and decisions needed to drive program and project team to success.

Responsibilities

This role is also responsible for monitoring and reviewing change requests associated with their projects and overseeing deliverable and risk management. Each change has its own approval requirements , and this role is responsible for ensuring the change is clearly defined, has the required information for review, and follows the appropriate approval process.

This role will require the individual to engage very closely with the global and sector sustainability functions supporting the PepsiCo Positive (pep+) agenda to be able to align regulatory readiness with overall pep+ initiatives as there is a strong overlap and correlation in areas like data, digitization as well as governance between regulatory frameworks and existing pep+ reporting. pep+ is a strategic end-to-end transformation, with sustainability at the center of how we will create growth and value by operating within planetary boundaries and inspiring positive change for the planet and people.

Lastly, this role may have the need to occasionally create or update PowerBI or SmartSheet reports. Experience in either or both technologies would be considered a plus. PowerPoint presentations and Excel Spreadsheets are also common communication tools and experience with these tools will be invaluable .
  • Project administration and management for the Sustainability, Legal, and PPGA (Public Policy and Government Affairs) functional teams supporting the ESG Reporting Council.
  • Active management of risks and dependencies across multiple workstreams.
  • Coordination of activities across program teams and related global and sector functions (ex. Global Sustainability and Sector sustainability teams).
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with the key stakeholders (leadership, consulting partners, deliverable owners) and represent a credible point of contact for each project team
  • Prepare Materials for project status, operating committee meetings, and other forums
  • Ensure project management artifacts provide consistent and accurate updates
  • Ensure deliverables are accurately recorded, tracked, and approved as required
  • Work to establish project management skills within Global Business Services and supervise / train new employees as appropriate

Compensation & Benefits:
  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $85,200 - $142,650

  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in project management roles
  • 2+ years of experience working within or directly supporting global or sector sustainability teams.
  • Strong collaboration, teamwork and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functions in the organization.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel (import/export data, general excel use experience)
  • Experience working with other Microsoft Tools such as SharePoint, Teams, OneNote, Outlook, and Yammer
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate recommendations or processes succinctly and effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate with virtual teams and remote employees
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Agile certifications are advantageous
  • Experience with SmartSheets or other project management software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Positive and resilient attitude, regardless of the circumstances
  • Ability to react in a highly flexible environment
  • Highly organized and responsive, with ability to work to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and tight deadlines

Preferred Requirements:
  • Prior ESG experience
  • Smartsheet collaboration and work management software
  • PowerBI
  • Experience in supply chain digitalization, specifically in areas related to sustainability.
  • Previous experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company
