Job Description:
Participate in the development and implementation of credentialing exams as described below:
-Stay abreast of advancements in Biotechnology and Bioscience to identify trends applicable to the test development and updating.
-Conduct research on emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies relevant to the field.
-Communicate with industry stakeholders via exam development workshops, focus groups, and surveys to conduct job analysis studies,
-Contribute to the development of test blueprints, ensuring comprehensive coverage of key content areas.
-Collaborate with stakeholders to define the weighting of content domains within the examination.
-Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop test items, ensuring alignment with Biotechnology and Bioscience industry standards.
-Work within a controlled, test development system to build item banks, comprised of innovative and meaningful test questions that fairly assess candidates' competencies and skills relevant to a defined workplace role.
-Ensure that all test development processes and procedures comply with ISO 17024 standards.

Participate in the maintenance, validation, and outcomes-reporting of credentialing exams as described below:
-Conduct rigorous item analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of test items and make data-driven decisions for improvement.
-Ensure the quality, accuracy, and fairness of test content through thorough review and adherence to established standards.

Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts.
-Gather input, review test items, and incorporate their expertise into the development process.
-Foster a collaborative environment to ensure the accuracy and relevance of test content.

Maintain proper documentation and create reports.
-Maintain comprehensive documentation of test development processes, decisions, and outcomes.
-Generate reports summarizing key metrics, trends, and the effectiveness of test items.
-Develop and maintain documentation necessary for ISO 17024 accreditation.

Other duties as assigned
-May include driving the company vehicle
-May include travel in N. America
-Within this role, the individual will be required to attend industry and educator events such as focus group sessions, stake-holder meetings, etc. There will also be opportunities to present data at conferences.

Expected Salary:
Salary commensurate with experience and expertise

Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bioscience-focused Bachelor's degree or higher.
Familiarity with the bioscience industry, along with basic principles of biological science and regulatory compliance.
Experience with psychometric principles and statistical analysis in test development.
2 years of experience in test development, item writing, and assessment.
Familiarity with accreditation and certification (credentialing) processes.
Previous experience in educational or certification program development.
Strong relationship-building skills, project management, and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Strong oral communication and writing skills.
Proficient in the use of technology, database management (Microsoft Access), presentations, and document management.
Experience using Canvas or online teaching and testing platforms.
Must have a high level of professionalism and strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with people at all levels.
