Job Summary

You transcribe patient medical information from Baylor Scott & White Health professionals into our transcription system for accuracy. Your role is vital for maintaining electronic health records efficiently and accurately.

What You'll Do

  • Contribute to patient healthcare by interpreting and processing doctor-transcribed medical information.
  • Skillfully use an array of software tools to accurately document patient visits, pathology, radiology, operations, and other procedures.
  • Assist in codifying diagnoses, treatment plans, and medications using universally accepted healthcare language.
  • Partner professionally in a medical team to ensure all patient documentation is comprehensive, insightful, and up-to-date.
  • Regularly update your knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and practices to maintain best possible performance in the role.
  • Help the healthcare system function well by consistently doing excellent work, meeting deadlines, and keeping quality records.

What Will Make You Successful In The Role

  • Proficiency in medical terminology and a good understanding of healthcare documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an eye for details.
  • A knack for working efficiently in a team-oriented environment, but also comfortable taking on tasks autonomously.
  • Ability to maintain composure and focus while dealing with deadlines and assignments.
  • Aptitude in using various computer programs, including healthcare-related software.

Qualifications

  • Possess at least an associate's degree or alternatively, two years of professional experience beyond the basic requirement.
  • At least (3) three years of professional experience.
