Job Summary:

The INSIGHT/Conference Event Leader is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic planning, development, and execution of the annual "INSIGHT" user conference. This marquee event, attended by 5,000 to 8,000 participants from around the globe, is pivotal in elevating the company's brand presence and driving significant audience engagement and prospect activation. The event gathers customers, prospects, strategic hyper-scaler partners, integration partners, event sponsors, industry analysts, media representatives, government officials, and employees, making it a critical touchpoint for the company's global outreach and influence.

In addition to the main event, the leader may also oversee the execution of regional INSIGHT Xtra events within six months following the primary INSIGHT event, ensuring consistent engagement and momentum throughout the year.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Event Strategy & Planning:
    • Develop strategic vision, goals, and integrate industry trends for INSIGHT events
    • Lead event theme development and collaborate with stakeholders
    • Manage comprehensive event budget, procure vendors, and implement cost-saving measures
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination:
    • Coordinate with internal teams and strategic partners for event alignment and enhanced experience
    • Manage VIP program for high-profile attendees
  • Event Execution:
    • Oversee end-to-end event planning, speaker management, venue selection, and logistics
  • Audience Engagement & Activation:
    • Develop pre-event marketing plan, design engaging onsite experiences, and maximize lead capture and conversions
  • Marketing & Communications:
    • Effectively communicate brand message, execute comprehensive communications plan, and collaborate on branding and content creation
  • Post-Event Analysis & Improvement:
    • Conduct thorough post-event analysis, use insights for future planning, and present recommendations in post-event report


Job Requirements

  • Event Leadership:
    • 15+ Years of Experience: Leading large-scale events, particularly user conferences or industry summits with 5,000+ attendees.
    • Global Event Management: Managing international events, understanding cultural sensitivities, global logistics, and challenges of multi-region execution.
  • Budget Management:
    • Multi-Million Dollar Budgeting: Managing and optimizing multi-million dollar budgets while maintaining event quality.
    • Vendor & Agency Management: Selecting, negotiating, and managing relationships with vendors and agencies in event production, logistics, creative services, and technology.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • High-Level Stakeholder Engagement: Working closely with C-suite executives, strategic partners, government officials, and VIPs to ensure impactful participation.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating effectively with marketing, sales, product, communications, and executive teams to align on event objectives and execution.


Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Event Management, Communications, or related field
  • Advanced Degree - MBA or Master's in Marketing, Event Management, or related discipline highly desirable

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is $209K - $294K. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
