Principal Financial Group is seeking a Lead Segment Marketer B2B Strategist to join our world-class team supporting our Advisor - Financial Professional audience. As a Lead Strategist, you will play a crucial role in developing strategic marketing plans to drive business results for Principal's retirement business.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with distribution teams to develop strategic marketing campaigns that align with business priorities. Establish clear metrics for assessing success and guarantee seamless implementation.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to create, build, and successfully implement multiple complex and concurrent campaigns.
  • Have a deep understanding of specific audiences and behaviors
  • Identify target audiences and develop campaigns that promote awareness and engagement through the delivery of relevant content.
  • Oversee and evaluate the efficiency of campaigns, using analysis to enhance future outcomes.
  • Communicate ideas effectively to internal and external stakeholders, lead through influence and work across teams, the enterprise and with external agencies.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 8+ years of related experience in the financial services space and familiarity with advisor audiences is highly desirable.
  • Advanced level knowledge of the marketing profession and modern marketing strategies. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategic marketing programs.
  • Proven track record of delivering strong results through strategic marketing initiatives. Your ability to think strategically and critically will allow you to determine the most effective course of action.
  • Proficiency in translating data and analytics into actionable conclusions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, allowing you to bring different parties together and effectively convey information. Your capacity to establish strong connections and work harmoniously will be crucial for your success in this position.
  • Salesforce knowledge would be helpful in effectively managing campaigns and tracking their impact.

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$123000 - $167000 / year
Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
