ARES is seeking an experienced Writer/Editor to support NASA s Workplace & Collaboration Services (WCS) organization. WCS delivers consistent, innovative, and evolving services and is a trusted partner while enabling mission success and exceptional customer experiences and securely unleashing the power of information and technology. The Writer/Editor will be responsible for creating high-quality, compliant written materials, as well as editing government documents, reports, and various other communications.

Remote, hybrid, and onsite positions the employee bears travel costs to nearest NASA Center for badging and issue of NASA IT equipment.

  • The Writer/Editor will be responsible for creating high-quality, compliant written materials, as well as editing government documents, reports, and various other communications.

EDUCATION AND PREVIOUS WORK REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Education-BA/BS
  • Minimum experience 8 years overall experience

EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:

  • Must be able highly proficient in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Tools to include Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and SharePoint.
  • Willing and able to learn governmental process (if not already familiar) along with being a self-starter with ability to learn new things.
  • Must be familiar technology commonly used for remote work (Teams, Zoom, etc.). Experience with editing and converting technical communications to plain language to ensure widest possible understanding for the Agency/Organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience preferably within government agencies or related fields who understand the end user IT products and services.
