Acture Solutions is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused onsite Helpdesk Level I Technician to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will provide first-line technical support to end-users, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution of desktop, software, and application-related issues. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Your Role: As an IT Helpdesk Level I Technician, you will report to the Technology Supervisor and support education sector users daily such as teachers, staff, and administration. You will assist users through complicated help queries and correspond with customers on ongoing projects and maintenance.

Your Impact:

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person for desktop, software, and application issues.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems, including operating systems (Windows/Mac), productivity software (Microsoft Office, etc.), and various applications.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.
  • Log and manage support tickets in the IT helpdesk system, ensuring accurate and timely updates and resolutions.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support or specialized teams, as necessary.
  • Perform basic network troubleshooting, including connectivity issues and network printer problems.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT assets and ensure proper documentation of support activities.
  • Participate in the deployment of new hardware and software, including system imaging and configuration.
  • Provide end-user training and support for commonly used applications and tools.
  • Follow established IT policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards.

Who You Are: Required Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in a desktop/application support role or related technical support experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft, Apple, and Google applications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot connectivity, networking, and printer access.
  • Ability to manage requests using a ticketing system.
  • Ability to troubleshoot/repair/replace hardware for PCs, laptops, etc.
  • Experience teaching adults about technology a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time onsite position in Pleasantville, NY, Mon-Fri, 7a-4p ET.

Our expected annual salary range is $45,000 to $55,000, commensurate with experience.
