Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software applications through rigorous testing and analysis. The QA Analyst will collaborate with development and product teams to identify and resolve defects, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards before release.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new and existing features.
  • Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to validate application functionality.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools, and collaborate with the development team to resolve issues.
  • Participate in requirements review meetings to understand project scope and identify testing needs.
  • Automate testing processes where feasible, utilizing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
  • Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders on the quality of the application.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure continuous improvement in the testing process.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging testing tools and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a QA Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in writing clear and comprehensive test cases and test plans.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • ISTQB certification or similar is a plus.
