We are seeking a dynamic team player to join our Supply Chain Team. Our culture is customer focused and team oriented. In this role, you will manage and execute planning strategies for finished goods while ensuring service models align with production scheduling. You will manage planning strategies for raw materials to ensure materials are available to support an efficient manufacturing process. You will create models and processes to streamline the function to gain efficiencies, while trouble-shooting issues and having a solution-oriented focus. You will coordinate across multiple departments to facilitate getting jobs to the production floor with accurate job ticket information. This is a fast-paced position where multi-tasking and action-oriented skills are key.

Responsibilities:

  • Work to ensure jobs are planned and scheduled accurately and timely to ensure correct information on the production floor
  • Chooses materials and equipment that are best suited to run a job
  • Reviews plan vs actual results to provide the most accurate data on how a job ran
  • Creates models for use by customer service
  • Works with purchasing to ensure stock is in house when needed
  • Leads a team to bring about improvements and corrections when needed
  • Works to ensure production jobs contain the correct work center, speeds, setup times, associated tooling and other pertinent information going to the production floor
  • Chooses materials and equipment that are best suited to run a production job
  • Reviews plan vs actual results in order to provide the most accurate data on how a job will run
  • Create and maintains production models for use by customer service and Planning
  • Works with Purchasing to ensure stock is in house when needed
  • Drives ERP system improvements
  • Can lead a team to bring about improvements and corrections when needed
  • Critical thinking skills are key in order to accurately make decisions on jobs

Qualified applicants will have:

  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Willingness to learn new skills in planning or previous planning experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
