The Choice is managing an exciting temporary to hire search for our client, a highly mission-driven nonprofit focused on healthcare and racial equity. This position will provide dedicated, focused support to the organization’s Executive Director.

The Executive Director, who is visually impaired, leads the organization remotely but occasionally requires in-person support. Candidates must be comfortable commuting to Fort Washington, MD, about four times per month to provide direct assistance and ensure seamless operations. This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to impactful work while supporting an inclusive and mission-driven leader.

The Ideal Candidate will have/will be:

  • At least 5 years of administrative experience supporting senior staff members and/or executive leadership, ideally within a mission-driven organization.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple competing priorities efficiently.
  • A deep commitment to racial and healthcare equity, with experience or a passion for addressing health disparities and justice initiatives a must
  • Empathetic, professional, thoughtful, and organized. Previous professional or personal experience supporting an individual with a disability could be helpful.
  • Flexible to start a new position quickly. This is an immediate hiring need.

Job Duties will include:

  • Manage the Executive Director’s calendar.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations to support key organizational initiatives.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, including itineraries and meeting agendas.
  • Research and address matters brought to the Executive Director’s attention, handling sensitive issues with discretion.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Executive Director, senior leadership, board members, and external partners.
  • Track and manage the Executive Director’s commitments, ensuring thorough preparation for meetings and events.
  • Oversee special projects, seeing them through to successful completion.
  • Submit expenses and manage timesheets on behalf of the Executive Director.

Location: Remote/Hybrid (Candidates must live near Fort Washington, MD)

Salary: $30-$32/hour
