Software Development Engineer (Contract)

Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.

Summary

This role will work on the core Xbox Windows Application functionality to light up new functionality, fix bugs in existing features, and drive for better player experience in the Xbox app. This requires strong user interface skills and design, working cross-functionally with designers, and experience writing different levels of automated tests.

Job Responsibilities

• Build new user interface features in the Xbox application in partnership with Product Managers and Designers.
• Fix bugs in existing user interface features in the Xbox application in partnership with other engineers.
• Build unit tests, functional tests, and manual tests for any new functionality or upgrading tests to prevent regressions in bugs fixed.
  
  

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience required.
• Strong ReactJS and React Native knowledge & experience.
• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
• Basic knowledge of the full software development lifecycle.
• Basic ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues.
