Job Description: The Proactive Support Tools Developer will be part of the Portworx Forensics Team, dedicated to enhancing the efficiency of the Support and Engineering teams. The primary goal is to reduce repeatable work between Support and Engineering, ultimately leading to a positive impact on Employee and Customer satisfaction.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain tools and processes that increase the efficiency of the Support team.
  • Focus on reducing analysis complexity to enable more individuals log analysis more easily.
  • Enhance the efficiency of individuals performing log analysis and debugging.
  • Collaborate with Support and Engineering teams to identify and address support needs.
  • Create and maintain documentation and knowledge bases for tools used by the Support team.
  • Ensure that all tools and processes align with the goals of improving support accuracy, diagnosis, case resolution time, and overall customer satisfaction.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and other containerization technologies.
  • Competency with regular expressions and grep.
  • Familiarity with customer support tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Education: BS in computer science or a related field is required.

Experience:

  • Strong Python programming skills and experience with automation tools.
  • Familiarity with support processes and tools used in technical support environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey support needs to engineering teams and vice versa.
  • Experience with documentation and knowledge base management.
