Payroll Specialist Compensation:$21.00-$23.00 per hour (based on experience, knowledge, store franchise, and volume)

Schedule:Full Time – 5-day work week

Payroll Specialist Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process weekly and monthly payrolls for all employees, including full-time, part-time, and temporary staff
• Ensure payroll is completed accurately and on time, including all deductions, bonuses, overtime, and adjustments
• Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee salaries, bonuses, benefits, and tax information
• Ensure employee payroll data is up to date in the payroll system (e.g., address changes, bank details, etc.)
• Onboarding new or transferring employees
• Ensure payroll complies with federal, state, and local tax laws, labor laws, and any industry-specific regulations
• Assist in audits by providing payroll data and documentation as needed
• Serve as the primary contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing prompt and professional support
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues
  
  

Preferred Requirements:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll administration
• Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems
• Strong knowledge of payroll and tax regulations
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
• Strong communication and customer service skills
