Position Overview

Under general supervision, the Staff Accountant assists in preparation of cash posting and reporting, corporate card management, and assisting with the monthly closing process. Individual will work with leadership, department heads, and our clinics to assure all necessary resources are available to provide the highest level of accurate financial data across multiple entities. In addition, the Staff Accountant will work with the Controller to ensure efficient processes, that reduce risk and promote meaningful, insightful data for the organization.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Support all activities across accounting and finance operations
  • Assists with the creation of monthly reports for financials (As Needed)
  • Records revenue and income (Daily)
  • Record complicated cash transactions and bank deposits (Daily)
  • Produces and disseminates Physician invoices (As Needed)
  • Supports the reconciliation of certain accounts in the income statement and balance sheet (As Needed)
  • Helps to prepare entries for the closing of the month (Monthly)
  • Record routine journal entries using established parameters and formatting (Monthly)
  • Work closely with other colleagues and teams to resolve questions, suggest process improvements and collaborate on joint initiatives (Daily)
  • Other duties as assigned (As Needed)
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job (Daily)

  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare best practices (nice to have)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or other related field, or equivalent experience
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures and solid knowledge of Cost of Goods Sold and Operating Expense cost containment
  • Familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive financial and proprietary information
  • Passionate about longevity, healthy aging, healthcare and committed to personal self-care, healthy lifestyle, and personal growth
  • Experience with ERP systems (Salesforce) and Great Plains strongly preferred

Individual must possess the knowledge and following skills and abilities or be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities:

  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, move from one area of the building to another on a regular basis, sit and use a computer for a long period of time
  • Manual and physical dexterity needed to operate a computer keyboard and handle paper documents
  • Sufficient vision acuity to read information appearing on computer display screen, in hand-written forms, and printed on papers
  • Adequate hearing and verbal abilities to communicate effectively in person and by telephone
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds
