Job Purpose

Islamic Relief Canada is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Email Marketing Coordinator to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day execution and setup of email marketing campaigns, ensuring they are optimized to reach the right audiences with the right message. This role will be crucial in driving donor engagement, retention, and conversion.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Campaign Execution & Setup:
    • Build, execute, and optimize email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, appeals, updates, and event invitations.
    • Segment lists based on various criteria, including donor behavior, interests, and demographics.
    • Manage email templates, ensuring they are visually appealing, mobile-friendly, and on-brand.
    • Implement A/B testing strategies to improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
    • Track and analyze campaign performance metrics (open rates, CTR, conversions, etc.) to measure the effectiveness of campaigns.
    • Provide regular performance reports with actionable insights to improve future campaigns.
    • Monitor deliverability rates and ensure emails comply with all regulations, including CAN-SPAM and CASL.
  • Database Management:
    • Maintain and update email databases, ensuring data integrity and compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Strategy & Optimization:
    • Collaborate with the broader marketing team to align email marketing strategies with organizational goals.
    • Identify opportunities for automation and personalization within email campaigns to enhance donor engagement.
    • Stay updated on email marketing best practices and trends, recommending improvements to existing strategies.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with content, design, and development teams to create compelling email content and design.
    • Coordinate with fundraising and events teams to support key campaigns and initiatives.
Qualifications & Competencies

  • Experience:
    • 2+ years of experience in email marketing, preferably within a medium to large-sized organization.
    • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is preferred, but not mandatory.
    • Proficiency with other email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, Pardot) and CRM systems is required.
    • Experience with HTML/CSS for email template creation and editing.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
    • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in execution.
    • Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, including segmentation, deliverability, and compliance.
Starting Salary

$54,000.00
