Job Title: Senior Enterprise Data Analyst

Location: New York, NY

Duration : About 5-6 months.

SUMMARY

The Senior Enterprise Data Analyst is responsible for developing and managing business data rules and workflows that will drive consistency, reliability, and accessibility of the shared data assets at The Client. This role is responsible for managing the daily activities as it relates to the information contained in the MDM application, enterprise data warehouse and other integrated applications. The position s main objective is to actively enforce data governance throughout the enterprise. The senior enterprise data analyst is also responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, providing consumable data visualization, and reporting solutions as well as information regarding the state of the applications to drive process improvements. Additionally, the position is responsible for collaborating with the executive, engineering, business analyst, product management, and quality assurance teams as it relates to implementations, process improvements, and manual process automation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide BI reporting solutions.
  • Conducts the conversion of data into new system applications.
  • Build and maintain data models.
  • Assist with the creation of quality assurance test scripts.
  • Provides centralized communications for governance-led and data related matters.
  • Arranges for the providing of information and analysis to IT projects.
  • Oversees the identification of process design, prototyping, testing, training, and defining support procedures.
  • Develop and continuously maintain Enterprise data standards.
  • Develop and conduct data standards training as part of Client s On-Boarding process.
  • Continuously monitor quality of existing data and coordinate appropriate clean-up projects.
  • Work closely with partners within ITS to automate manual processes.
  • Develop metrics to measure, monitor and report on data quality compliance.
  • Collects, maintains, and reconciles data on a day-to-day basis; creates, maintains and purges specified data as required; makes individual or mass corrections, modifications and/or updates to data as appropriate.
  • Serves as resource for interpreting plan rules and researching historic changes in relation to quality and efficiency of the data.
  • Resolves data inconsistencies and performs detailed root cause analysis.
  • Researches, verifies, and edits data to ensure its reusability and completeness.
  • Collaborates with internal and externals teams on data inquiries.
  • Responsible for assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
  • Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management
  • Excellent analytical, communication (both verbal and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
  • A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets
  • Intermediate to advance knowledge of data visualization/BI tools

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of Bachelor s degree; consideration will be given to candidates with equivalent education, experience and training
  • A total of a minimum of 5 years experience in Data Management.
