What You’ll Do

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist with a strong background in accounts payable processes, preferably within a high-growth tech startup. This role is pivotal to our finance and accounting team and will be critical in ensuring effective and accurate accounting operations. The ideal candidate will excel in managing vendor records, payments, and communication, while driving the maintenance of high-quality financial records to ensure the timely delivery of accurate and meaningful financial insights to the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete processing of A/P, including entering, reviewing, and coding invoices, auditing financial records to ensure compliance with accounting policies in Ramp, automated AP system.
  • Process invoices in multi currencies for multi entities.
  • Primary contact in addressing questions/concerns relating to vendor inquiries, as well as corporate liaison between Accounts Payable and other departments.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve purchase order, contract, invoice and payment discrepancies. Review vendors’ statements as they are received.
  • Vendor maintenance relating to business registrations and classifications, ACH input and verbal confirmation.
  • Assist with month-end close including month-end accruals and corporate credit cards.
  • Shapes procurement processes and procedures and helps facilitate employee awareness and adherence to best practices
  • Reviews and helps optimize suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability and other relevant factors
  • Support migration to and operationalization of new ERP system, NetSuite.
  • Assist in 1099 reporting and annual financial audit.

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounts payable.
  • Solid understanding of accounts payable and basic understanding of accounting policy
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounts payable or a related field.
  • Proficiency in procurement and disbursement software (Ramp and/or Airbase,) accounting software (Xero and/or Netsuite) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and work ethics.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
