Role Definition

Lead the development of a cutting-edge solution that aims to automate insights to standardize business performance across the MSC organization. Defines the vision, strategy, and requirements for analytics products, ensuring they deliver valuable insights and meet business needs.

  • Experience leading agile development teams and collaborating with stakeholders between business and data functions.
  • Passion for using data to drive business growth and be comfortable working with data in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to facilitate effective teamwork and stakeholder engagement, explaining complex data concepts to non-technical individuals.
  • Be the “voice of the product” to key stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and that the product team is getting the direction and support it needs to succeed.
  • Define and prioritize features of the business solution through detailed planning.
  • Oversee the day-to-day development of the solution, creating strong alignment in the working team to achieve goals.
  • Define functional requirements to deliver the use case initiatives (e.g., epics) and illustrations to guide the technical teams.
  • Validate the weekly progress of the technical teams and lead business user tests, ensuring product quality before the product gets into the hands of the internal customer.
  • Provide training and documentation on product updates to internal business teams.
  • Set detailed planning per initiative and help resolve whatever bottlenecks arise.


Key Responsibilities

  • Product Vision & Strategy: Define the analytic product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business goals and market needs.
  • Backlog Management: Create, prioritize, and maintain the analytic product backlog, ensuring that user stories and requirements are well-defined and actionable.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, business leaders, and development teams, to gather requirements and feedback.
  • Requirements Gathering: Translate business needs and user feedback into clear, actionable requirements and user stories (concise, informal description of a functionality from the perspective of an end user)
  • Development Oversight: Work closely with the development team to ensure timely delivery of product features, resolve issues, and adjust priorities as needed.
  • Product Testing: Oversee product testing and quality assurance to ensure that the product meets the defined requirements and quality standards.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform product decisions and enhancements.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze product performance metrics, gather user feedback, and make data-driven decisions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries, providing clear and timely updates to stakeholders and the development team.


Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field Information Systems/Technology, Supply Chain, or Analytics Preferred.
  • Certifications in project management, such as PMP or Scrum.


Job specific requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in product management
  • 3+ years in Supply Chain
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL or other programming languages (e.g., Python).
  • Knowledge of AI/data principles (e.g., ML algorithm selection, data architecture principles, familiarity with cloud technologies, etc.).
  • Experience with agile methodologies (e.g., ceremonies, writing user stories).
  • Understanding of the consumer goods industry or similar industries.
  • Experience launching products, executing the entire product development lifecycle, and developing long-term product strategies.
  • Experience delivering transformational projects with solid change management requirements. E.g., effective listening, diplomacy and tact, and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time, and project management skills; ability to effectively multi-task while meeting demanding deadlines.

Work schedule:

Remote position with normal business hours. This position reports into the east coast.

Salary

Range is between $81,700 and $112,375 depending on experience
