Senior Test Analyst User Acceptance Testing and Test Management Expert

Job Description:

The Senior Test Analyst will be responsible for supporting the testing team in executing various test activities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), as well as proficiency in test management and coordination. The Senior Test Analyst will ensure that testing methodologies are effectively utilized to validate system functionality, performance, and user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with IT/Technology Services and business teams to develop test cases and communicate test strategies, results, and performance.
  • Lead test planning and scheduling, overseeing end-to-end testing efforts, and managing the coordination of date-shifting as necessary.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for User Acceptance Testing (UAT), guiding end-user testing processes.
  • Participate in defect management activities, including tracking, monitoring, and reporting defect statuses and resolutions.
  • Compile and report on testing metrics, ensuring data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and document processes and staffing requirements for defect triage and business analysis.
  • Work closely with peers and management to continuously improve testing methodologies, processes, and techniques.
  • Utilize manual testing tools to ensure accurate and thorough testing of system functionality.

Required Skills:

  1. Test Analyst Experience:

    • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience within the last ten (10) years working as a Test Analyst with large organizations, leading or participating in the technical implementation of software, systems, or applications that automate complex business processes.
  2. Business Analysis & Testing Expertise:

    • Proven experience in assessing scope and tasks related to business analysis.
    • Planning and executing business analysis tasks.
    • Eliciting, defining, and documenting business, user, and system requirements.
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business subject matter experts, architects, developers, and testers.
    • Preparing test plans, test cases, and documenting test results.
    • Performing regression testing and updating test plans for periodic maintenance releases.
  3. Deliverables Production:

    • At least seven (7) years of experience in producing the following deliverables:
      • Business requirements and rules.
      • Functional and non-functional requirements.
      • Stakeholder requests.
      • Test strategies, plans, and cases.
      • Transition plans.
      • Traceability matrices.
  4. Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Tools:

    • At least three (3) years of experience using Test Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools such as HP ALM, Rational Requisite Pro, or Jama to document requirements, design specifications, test cases, defects, and ensuring full traceability for projects.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Government Agency Experience:

    • Experience as a Test Analyst at a State or Federal agency.
  2. Pension/Retirement Software Implementation:

    • Experience leading or participating in software development projects related to pension or retirement systems.
  3. Educational Background:

    • A Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  4. Hybrid Work Model:

    • Ability to work on-site 2-3 days per week under a hybrid working model.
