Please review the following job description:

The primary purpose of this role is to provide consultation and technical direction for members of the Dynatrace Application Monitoring team inside the larger Enterprise Monitoring department. This role provides guidance and direction on monitoring best practices for Enterprise Monitoring in Truist and serves as a technical expert for Operations teams covering various of the monitoring tools used in Truist.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Resolves complex problems spanning multiple applications to drive improvements across portfolios; leads projects with significant business implications, participates in planning and priority estimates, and advises Software Engineers; executes with limited guidance.
2. Leads development of integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions to ensure specifications are flexible, scalable, and maintainable and meet architectural standards.
3. Educates others on current architectural standards and guidelines to drive efficiency when leading the design efforts of complex business and enterprise software solutions.
4. Supports systems integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) for large, complex, cross-functional application initiatives by providing insight to testing teams in order to ensure the appropriate depth of test coverage.
5. Mentors and advises others in all software development lifecycle phases by applying and sharing an in-depth understanding of company and industry methodologies, policies, standards, and controls.
6. Communicates changes in software architecture and coaches others to apply this understanding to software solutions; resolves escalated issues.
7. Leads efforts to improve engineering, test, and operational excellence best practices.
8. Solves complex cross-functional architecture/design and business problems; solutions are extensible; works to simplify, optimize, remove bottlenecks, etc.
9. Mentors and advises others, sharing an in-depth understanding of company and industry methodologies, policies, standards, and controls.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field
2. Five to seven years of experience in software development or a related field
3. Five to seven years of experience in database technologies
4. Five to seven years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC)

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Five to seven years of IT experience developing and implementing business systems within an organization.
2. Five to seven years of experience working with defect or incident tracking software.
3. Five to seven years of experience writing technical documentation in a software development environment.
4. Five to seven years of experience working with an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.

5. Two to Five years proven experience with Dynatrace APM tool. Associate certification is preferred.

6. Two to Five years knowledge around configuring and administering Dynatrace.

7. Two to Five years proven understanding of monitoring cloud environments with Dynatrace including AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform.

8. Two to Five years developing automation with GitLab and Ansible.

9. Provide on-call support for Dynatrace as required to meet business needs.

10. Provide periodic reporting and metrics on the health of the systems.

11. Train IT product delivery teams on proper use of Enterprise Monitoring tools and their capabilities.

12. Lead internal/external Risk and Audit enquiries related to these tools.

13. Assist teams to resolves complex problems spanning multiple applications to help close any monitoring gaps that are discovered.

14. Drive monitoring improvements in the Truist environment.

15. Perform problem tracking, diagnosis and root-cause analysis, troubleshooting and resolution for highly complex issues.

16. Responds to issues in a timely manner by receiving and investigating incidents or service tickets.

17. May engage and manage external vendors.

18. Mentors less experienced teammates to build technical expertise.
