Events Specialist
The Events Specialist for the College of Nursing will assist the PR & Communications Manager and will be responsible for planning, coordinating, organizing, and executing high-quality events for the college. This role supports the College¿s mission by coordinating events that engage students, faculty, alumni, and donors. Events Specialist
The Events Specialist for the College of Nursing will assist the PR & Communications Manager and will be responsible for planning, coordinating, organizing, and executing high-quality events for the college. This role supports the College¿s mission by coordinating events that engage students, faculty, alumni, and donors. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders.
What you¿ll do:
- Plan, organize, and execute college events, including student activities, alumni gatherings, networking events, and other college related events.
- Coordinate event promotions with the communications team, ensuring consistent messaging across invitations, programs, social media, and email campaigns.
- Oversee event setup, execution, and teardown, ensuring all aspects run smoothly.
- Ensure a seamless and positive experience for event attendees, including students, alumni, donors, and distinguished guests. Coordinate event registration, guest lists, and on-site support. Handle event-related inquiries and provide excellent customer service to attendees.
- Maintain records of event details, including attendance, feedback, and financial reports.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and provide recommendations for future improvements. Analyze data to measure the success of each event.
- Ensure all events comply with university policies and procedures, including risk management and health and safety regulations.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in event planning or coordination, preferably in an educational setting.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required for event execution.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
- Excellent time management.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, as required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
