Java Holdings Ltd. owns a portfolio of companies in North America and Europe and is engaged in its acquisitions providing high level execution support for large utility, oil and gas, and power generation projects, specializing in EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Management). We are seeking a highly motivated and detail orientated Systems Analyst to join our team in the Edmonton area. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing business execution through requirements gathering, process development and systems implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document business requirements.
  • Support the development and deployment of key initiatives by researching best practices.
  • Develop comprehensive process maps and workflow diagrams for existing and new processes.
  • Ensure that process documentation is accurate, up to date and aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Interface with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into clear and actionable documentation.
  • Review and analyze existing business and project documentation for improvements and revisions.
  • Identify, recommend and implement system improvements and solutions which optimize and automate the execution of business and project processes through the application of new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
  • Develop training materials to facilitate the implementation of new processes and systems.
  • Support deployment of solutions to internal teams to enable seamless integration of processes and systems into existing business units.
  • Provide coordination and document control support for project-related activities to ensure timely and successful project completion.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Education in Business Management, Information Technology, Project Management, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years experience in project management, process development and business systems implementation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and are confident interacting with key contacts at all levels in verbal, written and electronic form.
  • Demonstrate sound work ethic and able to meet tight deadlines in alignment with priorities.
  • Exceptional eye for detail and organizational skills in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment
  • Positive attitude, team player, change agent.
  • Solutions oriented, independent problem solver with fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Computer skills of using software such as Microsoft suite of Office applications, Adobe PDF, and records management and document control systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA) is a plus.
  • Experience working in the utility sector is preferred.
