Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer with Python to join our client, Verizon, in Irving, TX. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automation frameworks, Python scripting, and CI/CD pipelines, along with a strong background in telecommunications.

This role requires on-site presence in Irving, TX, with a focus on automating and optimizing processes through Python scripting and integration with CI/CD pipelines and other tools. The candidate must be able to deploy, execute, and manage automation scripts in both on-prem and cloud environments, ensuring they are efficient, scalable, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python to optimize repetitive tasks.
  • Collaborate with the development and operations teams to implement CI/CD pipelines.
  • Utilize tools like Selenium to automate testing and web-based applications.
  • Execute Python scripts within a Citrix environment and manage their deployment on on-prem or cloud servers.
  • Embed and trigger Python scripts on web pages, ensuring seamless integration with existing workflows.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure automation strategies align with business goals.
  • Utilize Jira for tracking and managing tasks, and GitHub for version control and collaboration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation scripts and pipeline integrations.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in the Software Development Industry, with a focus on automation.
  • Telecom background is a must, with a solid understanding of telecommunications technologies.
  • Proficient in Python for scripting and automation, including writing small programs to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Experience with Selenium for web automation testing.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and the ability to integrate automation scripts into these pipelines.
  • Experience with Jira for task management and GitHub for version control.
  • Ability to deploy Python scripts on both on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Experience working in a Citrix environment for script execution.
  • Skilled in embedding Python scripts into web pages for automation.
