What We're Looking For:

RuffleButts is seeking a Director of Distribution and Fulfillment with full P&L accountability, responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations to deliver short-term results and drive long-term growth.

The Director will have leadership responsibilities over a fulfillment center for direct-to-consumer orders from our website, as well distribution center operations fulfilling larger bulk orders to our wholesale customers and Amazon.

The top operational priority is to manage all product flow through the warehouse to fulfill customer orders to meet established goals and efficiency standards by channel/customer such as order fulfillment time, order accuracy, warehouse productivity and labor costs.

In addition, the Director will work with senior management to implement new technologies and processes as needed to support the company's growth. We're seeking an individual who is looking for a challenge and an opportunity to create and/or improve the current warehouse processes. Our ideal candidate is proactive, autonomous and enjoys finding ways to maximize team performance, while having fun doing so. The ability to build strong teams and a flexible workforce while communicating effectively with other business partners such as senior management and customer service is critical. This position reports directly to the VP of Operations and must be able to successfully operate with little supervision while supporting implementation of process improvement initiatives. Multi-tasking, prioritizing and the ability to adapt to constant change/growth is crucial to success.

To Summarize, You Will:

  • Develop and maintain key performance metrics for all roles under your supervision to assess team performance and implementing solutions/improvements when necessary
  • Communicate and model job responsibilities, performance expectations and the values of the company
  • Build strong teams at all levels from supervisor to staff. Lead the training of new employees and the ongoing development of the team
  • Lead and manage a team of Supervisors and Leads to ensure the operation meets or exceeds daily unit goals
  • Exemplify and drive a culture of continual improvement.
  • Lead implementation of projects to improve warehouse operations, increase quality of service and improve efficiencies
  • Ensure that inbound shipments, outbound orders and everything in between runs as efficiently as possible
  • Ensure all order fulfillment and productivity goals are met on a daily basis
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional partners such as senior management, customer service, human resources, finance and IT
  • Manage yearly budget and monthly P&L for FC/DC
Requirements:
  • 3+ years minimum of leadership Fulfillment Center experience inclusive of differentiated warehouse capabilities processing orders across multiple channels of distribution with a fast paced, highly dynamic growth company. Preference given to experience with full responsibility for operation.
  • Experience implementing successful efficiency improvement projects to support growth that included process changes and new system integrations
  • Excellent communication abilities (verbal and written) and relationship building skills with your team and cross-functional partners
  • An infectious, positive attitude and a solid work ethic, coupled with strong problem-solving abilities
  • High financial acumen
  • Track record of building KPI's and delivering results
  • Strong people leader
