  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Title: Avid Software Engineer

Location: Remote/Travel to NYC, NY

Duration: 6 weeks+ contract; Possibility for extension.

Description:

The Avid Developer will design, develop, and implement custom plugins and system integrations within the Avid MediaCentral and Avid Interplay environments, enhancing media asset management, post-production workflows, and system performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain external systems integrations and plugins within Avid MediaCentral and other tools within the Avid ecosystem.
  • Customize and automate media workflows to streamline post-production processes.
  • Collaborate with media engineers and production teams to optimize system configurations and troubleshoot issues.
  • Implement and maintain scripts, plugins, and solutions to improve overall system functionality and user experience.
  • Provide ongoing technical support, enhancements, and updates to ensure the Avid environment is efficient and aligned with business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Avid MediaCentral, Interplay, and related APIs/Service toolkits.
  • Proven experience in developing, testing and rolling out the system integrations within the Avid ecosystem.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
  • Solid understanding of media asset management systems and media workflows in post-production environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on optimizing performance and resolving system issues efficiently.
  • This role requires hands-on development expertise, with a focus on creating seamless integrations and automating complex workflows within the Avid ecosystem.
