What You’ll Do

The Vice President of Sales reports to the CEO and is pivotal in leading, developing, and motivating a high-performing sales team to drive growth and position Searchspring as the top search, merchandising, and personalization platform for ecommerce. This role requires managing a team of 4 Account Executives, focusing on consistent month-over-month performance to meet revenue goals. You will be responsible for designing and executing effective sales strategies, building a robust sales playbook, and scaling the organization through a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Your key responsibilities include achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, optimizing the sales process, and implementing data-driven strategies. You will also lead by example, participating in the sales process, coaching your team, and aligning closely with the Marketing and Partnerships teams to ensure a coordinated approach to market expansion. The VP of Sales must possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of sales methodologies, and a proven ability to drive results.

How You Will Succeed

  • Develop & run strategic sales programs that successfully met business objectives; was responsible for growing pipeline and meeting revenue targets through outbound outreach and inbound lead management.
  • Scale a high-performing and growing team; recruit, train and develop team members for success; iterate the sales process and methodology to optimize performance.
  • Maintain forecasting models with a confidence of /- 10% to beginning of month commitments.
  • Manage a sales team in a structured sales environment to ensure goals are met, nurturing your team to have a genuine desire to be the best and fostering a culture of “winning together,” transforming the sales team through proactive leadership and team empowerment.
  • Inspire, engage, motivate, and enable your team; coach them on best practices; provide product knowledge, review and assess performance; build employee capacity; support their professional development and optimize their contribution to the company. Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team and manage each individual accordingly.
  • Lead daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with the sales team, peers in other functional areas, and company leadership.
  • Manage reports and dashboards to ensure your results can be easily understood by your team and the stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Ensure the team is consistently leveraging our value-selling methodology and has a deep command of the message; regularly shadow and debrief calls across the team to ensure ongoing development and adoption of current key messaging and priorities.
  • Foster a "win together" culture, empowering the sales team through coaching, best practices, and personal development plans.
  • Lead regular team meetings, sales reviews, and one-on-one coaching sessions to ensure consistent growth and adoption of key messaging.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Partnerships, and Revenue Operations to drive pipeline growth and optimize sales velocity.
  • Ensure value-based selling is at the core of the sales process, positioning the company’s offerings effectively to address customer needs.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a sales management role in B2B SaaS (SMB & Mid-market are a plus).
  • Proven success in scaling a sales team and driving significant revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of the sales pipeline and lead funnel, with the ability to manage prospects through every stage.
  • Proficient in using Salesforce and other sales prospecting tools to manage and forecast opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to create a culture of learning and collaboration while also leading by example in performance and best practices.
  • Experience managing KPIs and leveraging data to drive performance and sales results.
  • A customer-first approach that aligns business value with customer needs to deliver successful outcomes.
