  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Mode Search has been appointed, by a fine jewellery brand which takes inspiration from art pieces for their beautiful, intricate, creations to recruit a US Retail Director .

Based in the US Head office in Manhattan and reporting to the Americas MD, you will support and manage the store managers of all standalone stores in the US . You will be joining at a time of exciting growth for the brand , being at the helm of key new retail projects.

Excellent commercial acumen and ability to complete regular visits to the East and West coast locations required.

The Role:

  • Planning and monitoring of P&L and team management of the retail network across the US
  • Promote best practices across the business to streamline operations and enhance standards of services
  • Build strong relationships with store managers and store teams with regular visits to each location
  • Foster a positive work environment to increase staff retention as well as performance
  • Strong focus on omnichannel opportunities to optimise sales: buying; stock consolidation , Collection SWOT analysis , synergy with Ecomm and wholesale distribution strategies
  • Oversee retail schedule in line with location specifics social calendars and trading opportunities through marketing initiatives, internal and external events and other partnerships.
  • Monitor store operations, employees’ reviews, appraisals, training calendar and handbook.
  • Daily business and data analysis
  • Responsible for recruiting at store level working closely with store managers and HR
  • Oversee staff planning, succession plans and organizational structure for retail team.
  • Advise on the negotiation process of new leases and terms.
  • Drive activity across the network through partnerships and commercial initiatives in line with the brand image.

Requirements:

  • Business acumen and reporting skills, well versed in P&L, KPIs and senior teams’ management
  • Gregarious Management style able to develop and retain talents
