Our federal client is looking to hire an ASP.NET/Java Developer, on a contract to hire basis, at their offices in Merrifield, VA 22082. This position will pay an hourly rate of $67HR (1099, dependent on experience) or $62.50/HR W2 or an annual W2 salary of $130K with PTO and benefits.This position will allow for remote work 2 days a week after an initial 1-month orientation period and can convert to a permanent employee after 6-months. Requirements

  • Support existing Java/Eclipse/WebSphere application and convert to ASP.NET
  • Perform software development, testing, and provide support in all phases of the software lifecycle.
  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience.
  • Java Development
  • ASP.NET Development
  • Oracle Database development experience (PL/SQL scripting, SLQ optimization) a bonus
  • Windows experience
  • UNIX/Linux experience (Shell scripting) a bonus
  • Ability to perform analysis and design.
  • In depth knowledge of software engineering techniques and concepts.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently or coordinate as part of a development team with other software engineers.
  • Knowledge of computer data-structures and algorithms
  • Software quality assurance experience
  • Ability to provide support to issues in production
