We are seeking a skilled BlackRock Aladdin SME (Subject Matter Expert) / Data Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will have extensive experience with the Aladdin platform and will provide expertise in portfolio management, risk analytics, and investment data management. You will work closely with stakeholders across investment teams, operations, risk management, and IT to optimize data processes and leverage the full capabilities of Aladdin.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the BlackRock Aladdin platform, offering support and expertise across portfolio management, trading, risk, and compliance functions.
  • Provide hands-on support for data integration, data validation, and reporting processes, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with investment teams to ensure seamless data flow across the Aladdin platform, addressing issues related to portfolio, market data, risk analytics, and performance metrics.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of financial datasets, generate insights, and present actionable recommendations to improve investment decision-making.
  • Support the customization and enhancement of the Aladdin platform to meet business needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Work on data migration projects, data quality assessments, and ensure the smooth transition of legacy systems to Aladdin.
  • Develop and automate data-driven reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, and Excel.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including portfolio managers, traders, risk analysts, and IT to provide technical solutions for data-related challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices related to data management and reporting.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience working with BlackRock Aladdin, preferably as an SME or data analyst in asset management or financial services.
  • In-depth understanding of Aladdin s portfolio management, trading, risk, and compliance functionalities.
  • Strong experience in data analysis, data management, and financial reporting within asset management or investment operations.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other data querying and scripting languages.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on data accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with investment, risk, and IT teams.
  • Experience with data integration projects and familiarity with cloud-based data storage (e.g., Azure) is a plus.
