  • Oversee the proposal development, submission, and management of awarded grants.
  1. Technical Thought Leadership:
  • Publish high-impact research in leading journals and conferences.
  • Serve as the organization’s technical ambassador at industry events and forums.
  1. Product Integration & Commercialization:
  • Work closely with product team leaders to translate research outcomes into commercially viable products.
  • Identify emerging technologies to keep the organization at the cutting edge of innovation.

  • Deep technical knowledge of at least two of the following areas: optimization, differential equations, and machine learning.
  • 5+ years of R&D experience in national labs, private labs, or corporate R&D labs, with a focus on simulations.
  • Proven success in leading multi-disciplinary R&D teams.
  • Proven success with non-dilutive funding, including but not limited to SBIR/STTR and other government grants.
  • Prior experience collaborating with DoD, DoE, or other government agencies.
  • Strong publication record in top-tier technical journals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of R&D experience in national labs, private labs, or corporate R&D labs, with a focus on simulations.
  • Experience transitioning research into product development and commercialization.
