Sr Automation Tester

Duties:
The Sr Automation Tester, IT Quality Assurance is accountable for Automating the software testing procedures of projects deliverables to Client Clients and operations team. This position will work with Automation Testers, Manual QA, Business Analyst, Product Management, the development teams, and other Quality Assurance teams to ensure test plans align with specifications. They will create test cases and execution-based client and product deliverables leveraging defect management. The Sr Automation Tester, IT Quality Assurance ensures analysis and testing will be done throughout the Systems Development Lifecycle.

Essential Functions

Meeting with the Development team and other business stakeholders to discuss verification protocols.
Reviewing software defects and bug reports and highlighting problem areas whenever encountered
Conducting Defect triage meetings with Development teams and other stakeholders to explain the issues/blockers if any.
Sketching out and implementing ideas for automated software test procedures. Measure effectiveness of Process improvements and automation efforts via KPIs and other metrics.
Assist with process Development and process improvement for all the Applications under Test to include creation/modifications of SOPs, Playbooks and Work instructions.
Understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported areas.

Creating Testing Framework and Writing automation scripts from scratch and maintaining the same for Application under Test.
Meets with key stakeholders to determine business system needs and requirements.
Conducts and reports on technical and business analyses.
Assesses new software for compatibility with current systems.
Accountable for ensuring that the business and technical architecture of delivered results matches technical, functional m Performance and business requirements.
Troubleshooting automation software and finalizing system procedures.
Collaborating with the App Development team to solve application issues whenever required.
Assist in the review and application of new technologies that would improve Automation processes.

Education:
Knowledge (concepts of the discipline)
Familiar with test management tools
Automation Testing tools: Selenium, JMeter, PractiTest

Familiar with postman test/ soap UI/ UI portals/DB testing
Programming Knowledge on Java, Python

Automation knowledge is required
Skills (level of measurable proficiencies)
Good understanding of SDLC/Agile Methodologies
Good knowledge on Test automation Methodologies

Education/Degree Requirements/Certifications (if applicable)
Bachelor s degree in computer science or Related field (or Master s degree )

Experience (number of years) for people management jobs, indicate years required managing people
5+ years of experience in Automation QA (or 3+ years of experience in QA Automation)
