Position Title: WebFOCUS Developer

We are seeking an experienced WebFOCUS Business Intelligence Developer to support the analysis and reporting needs of a complex data warehouse. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain reporting solutions using WebFOCUS, drawing data from multiple sources to create a secure and efficient reporting system for research dataset generation. This role includes analyzing data, modifying existing report code, creating new reports, and ensuring security and performance enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and modify existing WebFOCUS report code as needed, and design new reports to meet organizational and secure reporting requirements.
• Create wireframes, user flows, process flows, and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Establish and implement design guidelines, best practices, and standards for reporting systems.
• Provide clear, detailed descriptions of reporting specifications, including product features, software, communication protocols, and operating systems.
• Develop test plans, testing procedures, and document test results.
• Implement procedures for ongoing web reporting revisions and performance improvements.
• Develop databases that support web applications and reports.
• Write and maintain supporting code for web applications and reports.
• Analyze user needs to determine technical requirements for web reporting systems.
• Perform infrastructure analysis and remediate WebFOCUS inefficiencies.
• Review suppression layers in analytics reporting and provide recommendations.
• Design and implement security measures for web reports.
• Establish backup and recovery standards for reporting systems.
• Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to stakeholders.
  

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Experience designing and developing business intelligence reporting systems in a data warehousing environment, utilizing star schemas, data cubes, and data marts.
• Proficient in WebFOCUS Business Intelligence and Analytics Platform, with experience in WebFOCUS 8.
• Experience developing mobile-first reporting systems with a focus on responsive design and performance optimization.
• Advanced skills in WebFOCUS development, with experience installing, configuring, and administering WebFOCUS server.
• Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, Level AA, and experience creating accessible work products.
• Proficient in web design and development, with experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and APIs.
  Strong graphic design skills with a demonstrable portfolio.
