Job Description Summary
As the Technical Product Manager, you will be accountable for all aspects of the end-to-end lifecycle of currently deployed Proficy Manufacturing Discrete MES systems to meet customer, cybersecurity, and enterprise architectural requirements. You will support and maintain the tech stack and related data processing platforms and services. You will be responsible for ensuring the team has the facilities, tools, resources, and skills they need to deliver on commitments while tracking ongoing execution and delivery of Application Operations delivery SLAs. You will maintain incident management, change controls, support coverage, and provisioning compliantly, supported by purchased managed services resources. You will be responsible for technical domain, functional domain, sustainment/operations. You will be responsible for ensuring high availability, optimal performance, maintaining a compliant cyber posture, and low incident rates across compute infrastructure. You will partner with business stakeholders and across product categories to ensure alignment to the product strategy and to prioritize feature delivery to maximize outcomes.

Job Description

In this role, you will:

  • Be accountable for end-to-end lifecycle manufacturing execution (MES) applications ecosystems supporting multiple GE Aerospace US manufacturing sites. These applications include multiple customized instances of GE Digital Proficy Manufacturing Discrete and PTC Thingworx.

  • Become a subject matter expert of the technology stack and application blueprint.

  • Maintain operational stability, address tech debt, and minimize defects to enable operational stability.

  • Partner with the business, cyber and technical teams to support & maintain compliance and security related strategies such as CMMC, EVM, and DFARS

  • Learn and become a subject matter expert on a complex landscape of products and integrations to analyze and plan for the impact of outages, infrastructure and ecosystem changes, and business process changes.

  • Ensure successful, end-to-end delivery of product or environment changes supporting separation and compliance projects such as Cloud Migration, Data Center Exit, Network, Identity, and CMMC, through ongoing client engagement, partnering with technical teams internal and external to the initiative, and coordinating all required activities and milestones.

  • Interact with customers/stakeholders in VOC requirements-gathering, fine tuning, and obtaining product feedback. Build and maintain relationships across functional stakeholders understand their data needs, requirements, and solutions to improve and optimize existing business processes.

  • Present product roadmap to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to obtain concurrence and resources to execute.

  • Define, implement, and test application configuration changes to meet business needs.

  • Write / update test scripts, cut over plans, and deployment documentation.

  • Execute functional test, system integration test, and support user acceptance test (UAT).

  • Interact with software vendors and internal developers to resolve defects or request enhancements.

  • Present operational status to leadership and business stakeholders.

  • Go to Gemba, the manufacturing shop floor, to understand the product, processes, and personas interacting with software products where the work is done.

  • Prioritize backlog of work to support operational stability, cybersecurity, separation, and business outcomes with a focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, in that order, every day.

  • Influence the manufacturing and quality management system modernization strategy.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 6 years of professional experience OR associate's degree with minimum of 9 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 11 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Computer Science or STEM related fields.
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

The base pay range for this position is $127,900- $213,200. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on October 30, 2024.

  • Root cause investigation and permanent corrective action implementation experience, especially within a complex enterprise architecture.

  • Demonstrates knowledge and experience in technical topics, such as tech stacks, caching, APIs, data transfer, scalability, and security. Understands downstream impacts of tech stack decisions.

  • Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts

  • Has knowledge of integration technologies and how to write requirements/ design specifications for development and integration teams.

  • Ability to read and write SQL queries.

  • Experience working in an Agile environment

  • Innovates and integrates new processes and/or technology to significantly add value to GE. Identifies how the cost of change weighs against the benefits and advises accordingly. Proactively learns new solutions and processes to address seemingly unanswerable problems.
