About Cerberus
Founded in 1992, Cerberus is a global leader in alternative investing with approximately $60 billion in assets across complementary credit, private equity, and real estate strategies. We invest across the capital structure where our integrated investment platforms and proprietary operating capabilities create an edge to improve performance and drive long-term value. Our tenured teams have experience working collaboratively across asset classes, sectors, and geographies to seek strong risk-adjusted returns for our investors. For more information about our people and platforms, visit us at www.cerberus.com.
Job Purpose
Cerberus established our Residential Opportunities investment platform in 2008 to capitalize on opportunities to acquire distressed residential loans and mortgage-backed securities (“RMBS”) following the Global Financial Crisis. Over the past decade, our Residential Opportunities platform has continued to build upon its expertise in residential debt and evolved to earn recognition as an innovator and market leader in securitizing performing residential real estate loans and investing in single-family rental real estate (“SFR”). Our team averages 25 years of experience investing in residential debt and equity markets, and currently has ~$17 billion in dedicated assets under management.
Our Residential Opportunities strategy seeks to maximize absolute return through a combination of capital appreciation and current income, investing primarily in mortgages, loans, and real assets, and leveraging our proprietary asset management platforms to enhance performance and drive value.
As a rotational intern, you will develop a holistic understanding of our investment platform by working across varying teams including Portfolio Management, Trading, and Fundraising & Investor Relations. You will have direct access to senior leadership including portfolio managers and investment principals. The goal of our summer internship is to place you into a full-time position upon completion of your education with your preferred team.
