We are in search of a Mobile Application Developer to join our team in SPARTANBURG, South Carolina. This role is in the Non-Profit sector and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. The role is primarily focused on developing a mobile application that will interface with IOS, Android, and other devices. It's a role that requires a good understanding of React Native, APIs, and Android Development.

Responsibilities:

Develop a proprietary mobile application to be launched later in the year.
Ensure the mobile application interfaces efficiently with IOS, Android, and other devices.
Make sure the application is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing.
Work on more front-end than back-end tasks.
Utilize React Native, APIs, and other necessary skills for application development.
Maintain the running ministry mobile application.
Ensure the application fits well into the cultural context of its users.
Troubleshoot any issues that arise with the application and implement fixes.
Continually update and improve the application based on user feedback and technological advancements.
Collaborate with the team to ensure the application aligns with our goals and user needs.

Requirements

Proficiency in Android Development is essential
Experience in API Development is required
Familiarity with Apple Devices is necessary
Strong skills in React Native are mandatory
Prior experience in the non-profit sector is a plus
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Familiarity with agile methodologies is desirable
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
Strong understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
Proven work experience as a Mobile developer
Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the App store or the Android market
Knowledge of at least one programming language like Swift or Java
Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
Familiarity with OOP design principles
Excellent analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude
Ability to perform in a team environment
