Position: Data Analytics Architect
Location: Richmond, VA (Hybrid Schedule)
Contract Duration: 12 Months

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Analytics Systems Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, extensive experience with various databases and technologies, and a deep understanding of data analytics terminology and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accountability and responsibility for data analytics and data science architecture.
2. Accountability for the technical quality and viability of a data analytics solutions
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
4. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with both customer management and IT personnel, design effective IT solutions for business problems or strategies
5. Designs effective Data Analytical solutions for business problems or strategies.
6. Design and implement data models to support analytics and reporting needs.
7. Conducts design and code reviews, to ensure technical quality, alignment with business unit and enterprise architecture, and adherence to established standards and guidelines.
8. Develop and maintain data architecture and data integration solutions.
9. Work with different databases and technologies, including Snowflake, Hadoop and MPP technologies.
10. Establishes and implements data governance policies, security and integrity controls, protecting data assets and meeting business and regulatory requirements.
11. Lead technology modernization initiatives to improve data infrastructure and capabilities.
12. Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in data analytics and data management.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum 5 years working experience as Data Analytics Architect
2. Minimum 10 years working experience in Data Analytics
3. Proven experience in data warehouse data modeling and data architecture.
4. Extensive experience with databases and technologies such as Snowflake and Hadoop.
5. Strong understanding of data analytics terminology and best practices.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
8. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
9. In-depth knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
10. Experience in implementing and managing data governance frameworks and data security measures.
11. Experience with ETL tools and processes.
12. Experience with Data Science, Machine Learning platforms including but not limited to R, Python and other technologies.
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required Skills:
1. Experience with AI, ML, and Gen AI technologies.
2. Cloud certification, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

Pay Range: $85 - $90 Hourly

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
